CORN DAY
Corn party is a strong ancestral cultural Muisca tradition, which speaks of "a chieftain (cacique) of our lands who in the beginning of time up to heaven to become sun and illuminate the world Muisca: the first settlers made of mud, herbs and grass and our Mother Earth. From the harvest light, the corn began to grow on these lands, which is the source of life where the hand of man was conjugated harmoniously with the forces of nature to create this golden treasure."
It is a celebration where the community exchange seeds, music, dance, food and beverages from corn, like chicha;
strengthening and celebrating cultural wealth, empowerment, respect, diversity and food sovereignty.
